Welcome to Spain!

Sorry for the absenteeism lately. My wife and I just completed our move to Spain (we came over on February 8th), and we have been busy setting up the apartment, getting internet, opening bank accounts, and the works. I have had no time for knives or too many hobbies the last two months leading up to the move!

One of the fun things about living in Madrid is that I am just 45 minutes away from Toledo, the steel capital of Spain. The bad news is that I am now living in the city (a first for me). Still, we are very excited to be here, and I am sure there will be ample opportunities to test new knives and hone my bushcraft skills. Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe after Switzerland (bet ya didn't know that!).

So the big question: what knives did I bring to Spain? Oh man, what a difficult decision, but when all was said and done I think I made the right choice. A lot of buddies over at bc-usa reminded me that I could collect a whole new bunch of knives once I got here so there wasn't any reason to bring an entire collection. So, not counting carving tools and some pocket knives, I brought my trusty laminated Mora #1, a stainless steel Mora Clipper, and my brand new never used Rat RC-5 (kind of larger than I thought it would be haha). Once I get a chance, I will try to see if I can find somewhere to try the RC-5 without having the neighbors call the police. Oh yea, I also brought a few Green River Knife kits for the kitchen. They will be my spring project!
